I had the most amazing time with my girlfriends at my home last week! I was in much need of a Girls’ Night Out, and thanks to Moskato Life’s help, I was able to provide a really fun time for everyone that came over. It was so enjoyable, we didn’t want the night to end, and were discussing on doing this get-together thing again very soon.
I started putting this party together as a way to get into the holiday spirit, as up to this point, I was going through the motions, but not really feeling the joy as I have been planning to all year long. It was like I was still stuck on Hallowe’en time. Despite having a fair bit of my shopping done (without even really thinking about it,) the winter celebrations were still creeping up on me.
So, in hopes of welcoming the spirits in, I decorated a few centre pieces, brought out goofy, and kept the TV in the background on CHFI, which is currently playing all holiday music, all the time.
And I think it worked.
It wasn’t the setting per se that got me in the Holly Jolly mood, it was the company that soon came in after, and with a bit of food and a lot of bubbly shared around, we laughed our tushes off, and had a fabulous time enjoying each other’s friendship.
And honestly, that’s what the season is all about for me.
I will admit to being inordinately pleased with myself for putting this centre-piece (above) together in about 5 minutes flat, LOL. I had a fruit bowl, a small strand of outdoor lights (which I’m going to the store later this week to replace with an indoor version, ‘cause my holidays do not include fire hazards,) and some ornaments that I usually put on the tree. The crystal in the fruit bowl shined with the lights and even glowed red in some parts thanks to the baubles, and it was just all kinds of pretty. 😀
My nephew did his part by decorating the Christmas tree as best as a 3 year old can, lol. It might be hard to see in this picture, but about 95% of the ornaments hung are weighing down the bottom half that tree, with only ChaChi’s (auntie’s) special baubles sitting high, where sticky fingers can’t reach. 😉
And as I mentioned, when the guests came, we had a spectacular time. While a few guests couldn’t stick around for long (‘tis the season for multiple parties, lol,) many of us got to sit down after enjoying the snacks and play a game of Apples to Apples.
I had no clue how addicting this game was; we didn’t want it to end, like, ever. Also, as you see in the picture above, we were all well enjoying Moskato Life (the first time for many,) throughout the night, and everyone was pleasantly surprised at just how yummy this adult beverage is.
Everyone kept calling it wine, and I had to prove more than once that it’s a malt based beverage, and only available at approximately 80 select (The)
Beer Stores in Ontario. It does look like wine, but take a few whiffs of it and you’ll know its not instantly by the scent alone. I wouldn’t say the scent is overpowering, but it just doesn’t smell like wine.
I think part of the fun was that I had laid out a number of juices and sodas to mix with the Moskato Life White and Rose flavours, and we curious gals obviously had to try a multitude of combinations to find our favourite flavours.
Me? I happily mixed equal parts Coke, cranberry juice to half a glass of Moskato Life White for a sweetly, tart, yummy concoction.
Have you ever played Apples to Apples before? Essentially, one main (green) card is dealt on the table, and everyone has to look at their hidden sets of seven (red) cards in their hands to find a word that best matches the green card on the table. It could be literal, or funny, or flat out weird. The dealer for that round chooses what they personally believe is the best red card played to suit as a description.
So when the word “Fantastic” was played, I couldn’t help but put my glass of Moskato Life on the table.
And I WON that round! 😉
I was so happy that my guests couldn’t get enough of this fab bubbly, it was just that delicious. Some enjoyed the white more than the rose (as they just generally didn’t like the taste of raspberry altogether, though that is a favourite flavour of mine.) And they were so shocked and excited when they found out they were bringing home five vouchers each to pick up Moskato Life for their own upcoming parties….
For a few minutes, I felt like Santa. 😉
If you’re looking for a hostess gift, or simply a drink to bring to the Christmas dinner table, I highly recommend bringing a bottle or two of Moskato Life to share with your friends and family. Don’t tell my Mom, but she’ll be gifted a bottle to go with the family dinner this year!
Are you really curious to try out Moskato Life White and/or Rose for yourself??
I wasn’t going to leave you hanging! So, I couldn’t have you all at my house last week, but there is a party happening online, and you’re invited to have a blast!
